Still in pull ups now at school! My 5yr old son has had a slight delay in his development and is being supported at school by Early Years, his Pediatrician put his age at about 3 1/2. He is been out of nappies since last year but cannot get him dry on a night, have tried but he just slept in his wee! And I couldn’t keep doing that to him, he just doesn’t wake up! How long would you leave it until trying again? Any ideas on hwo to get him to get out of bed and go to toilet?? Thank you Tags: dry, nappies, school, son View the Page |

bed wetting and stammer My son is now 4yrs, and has just recently started school. at the moment he seems to be wetting the bed on a regular basis, sometimes even twice during the night. i don’t want to put him back into nappies/ pullups but i don’t think i have a choice; as the whole family is being disturbed during the night. in the past when there has been any changes, he has struggled with a stammer and its happening again on top of the bed wetting. We just don’t know what to do,and do’nt want ot upset him any more??? Tags: nappies, school, son View the Page |

I feel there is no more I can do! My son is 8 yrs old and has never been dry at night, he was dry during the day from 2 and a half.I have tried lots of methods and I am receiving help from the school nurse who has been coming out to visit me. I have monitored fluid intake and measured pee,I have lifted last thing at night but it didn’t seem to make a difference, he takes desmopressins which haven’t made any difference. The Doctor said his urine sample was fine and just to go back each month so he can prescribe the melts. What now?? My 10 yr old daughter was 4 and a half before dry at night and my youngest child who is 4 and a half is also still wet at night so I feel like tearing my hair out at the moment(it also costs a fortune in pullups) Sarah Tags: daughter, day, dry, fluid, intake, nurse, school, son View the Page |

One year dry and now my 5 yr old daughters is wetting the bed again 18 months ago we moved out of our house and in with my in laws. The very first night my daughter wet the bed. This has carried on, sometimes once a week and sometimes every night!! She then started school this september and her teacher helped me by giving her a sticker every morning that she was dry. Within 10 days she had 7 stickers!! Brilliant!! Now that the stickers have stopped she has been wetting the bed every night for the last four weeks!! I am going to ask her teacher to help again but just wanted to know if i should be doing anything else as well? Should i take her to the doctors? She is a little embarassed about it and doesn’t want to wet the bed anymore! Bless her! Tags: daughter, day, dry, morning, school View the Page |

help or hindrance My 11year old son has always wet the bed! i can count on one hand the dry nights he has had! he has been on a tour of doctors and hospitals, been on medication, tried the alarm and nothing works. He has always worn drynites pajama pants apart from one time on the advice of the school nurse we took him out of them for the summer. He developed a really bad nappy rash skin condition because of the urine and we were changing his bed at 12am before we went to bed as it was already soaking and again in the morning. We put him back in the nappy pants as i couldn’t cope with the washing, his sleep was being disturbed and because of the rash. He has been in them ever since. Am i helping him or hindering him to become dry? I feel i have given him a bad habit! Is there an age where he will want to try and stop? Please help Tags: dry, morning, Nights, nurse, school, son View the Page |

Still wearing pull ups at night time. My daughter was 4 in August, but started school in September. She still has accidents during the day (but not at school) and has to wear a pull up at nightime. Everytime we have put her to bed without a pull she wets the bed. I don’t know how she can go 6 and a half hours at school without an accident but can’t go 3 hours at home. Girl 5 My daughter is just 5 and has always been a very heavy sleeper. When she was 3 nearly 4, she had a spell of being dry most of the week but since starting school (last year) she is never dry. I limit her drinks before bedtime and lift her at night (she usually manages a wee) but she is always wet in the morning. I’ve tried incentives but it’s unfair as she really wants to be dry but says she just can’t wake up! I’d be very grateful for any ideas on what to do. Thanks, Sally Taylor Tags: daughter, dry, morning, school View the Page |

when will we see the light at the end of the tunnel My 12 year old boy is still bedwetting and has done since he was out of nappies. He is on desmomelts x2 per night and has been checked out for bladder problems but just when we start having a few dry nights in a row he wets again. My son gets very frustrated with his problem and usually has to wake up earlier than most as a shower is required every morning before school. My son is under a paediatrician as he has been diagnosed with mild asperger syndrome but as yet has not been statemented and if my son has his way he wont be as he wants to appear the same as his friends. I have never had any help with the cost of incontinence aids bed protection or sheet and quilt washing and as he gets bigger already 6 foot 11 stone and size 11 shoe its getting increasingly difficult. If anyone can shed some advise i would be grateful. For this child to be able to do trips away from home or sleepovers would be the best but at the moment we stand no chance. Bed wetting after bring dry for almost a year My son is almost 4 and has been dry at night for almost a year. Over the past month he is now frequently wetting the bed ( 2 -3 times a week). We did move home approx 5 months ago but he appears settled in our new home. I have spoken to his pre school and they haven’t reported any problems.I am just not sure what to do next?
