My son is 61/2 and is not dry at night

My son is now 61/2 and has never been dry at night. We have tried lifting him, reducing his fluid intake, increasing his fluid intake, and nothing seems to work. He wear a drynite everynight and most nights he has wet them through too. He has become very self aware and gets very upset and feels like a baby, however he still lays there in the morning in a wet bed! We have always remained very level headed and tell him not to worry and that one day he will just grow out of it. Can anyone give me a top tip and light and the end of the tunnel?

Any one experience this

My 9 yearold has had month long breaks of bed wetting. He has bad allergies, anaphylatic to nuts, bad hayfever. He has been checked for infections and diabetic tests but both were clear. I decided to look at what he drinks on the days that he wets the bed. I decided to take away all artificual drinks, so he drinks pure juice, milk and water, we have since been dry ever since. The one day that somebody allowed him some ribena he wet the bed again even though he had the drink early in the day. The doctor doesn’t feel that there should be any connection between what type of drink he drinks, but the evidence is there in front of me. Does anybody elses child react differently to what they drink?

7 yr old bed wetting

My daughter is nearly 7 and has never been dry at night. She also has quite a few accidents during the day. When she was a toddler she potty trained ok during the day but seems to not want to go to the toilet when she needs to. I am getting worried that she may not grow out of this and wonder what I can try to stop the bed wetting. I didn’t really want to go down the road of tablets and doctors as I don’t want her to be embarrassed or upset about it.

2 year old son

My son is potty trained during the day. Should I restrict drinking after a certaintime at night to aid him in becoming dry at night? If so how much would be right and after what time?

I feel there is no more I can do!

My son is 8 yrs old and has never been dry at night, he was dry during the day from 2 and a half.I have tried lots of methods and I am receiving help from the school nurse who has been coming out to visit me. I have monitored fluid intake and measured pee,I have lifted last thing at night but it didn’t seem to make a difference, he takes desmopressins which haven’t made any difference. The Doctor said his urine sample was fine and just to go back each month so he can prescribe the melts. What now?? My 10 yr old daughter was 4 and a half before dry at night and my youngest child who is 4 and a half is also still wet at night so I feel like tearing my hair out at the moment(it also costs a fortune in pullups) Sarah

5yr Old son always wet at night

My 5yr old boy is always wet at night. He has been dry in the day since he was 2yrs. He goes toilet before bed and again I wake him about 12am. However he is always in such a deep sleep he never wakes to go toilet, so I have put him back in nappy for bed. Could you please give me some helpful tips to get him dry, I really dont want my son in nappies at 5yrs old. Kerri

One year dry and now my 5 yr old daughters is wetting the bed again

18 months ago we moved out of our house and in with my in laws. The very first night my daughter wet the bed. This has carried on, sometimes once a week and sometimes every night!! She then started school this september and her teacher helped me by giving her a sticker every morning that she was dry. Within 10 days she had 7 stickers!! Brilliant!! Now that the stickers have stopped she has been wetting the bed every night for the last four weeks!! I am going to ask her teacher to help again but just wanted to know if i should be doing anything else as well? Should i take her to the doctors? She is a little embarassed about it and doesn’t want to wet the bed anymore! Bless her!

Day-time wetting

Our 4.5yr old daughter has never wet her bed at night however she does wet during the day. We have tried reward charts, taking her to the toilet regularly, getting cross, not getting cross all to no avail. Our HV is not concerned and says she will grow out of it but we are wondering if there is a medical reason. How is she able to stay dry at night though? Thanks Emma
